What is The Bugaku Renmei?

The Bugaku Renmei (Martial Science Federation))serves as a technical support for all Martial artist regardless of styles.  The Renmei offer instructions & certifications in the Sub Arts such as Tuidi-jutsu, Kyusho-jutsu and Martial Science.

The Sub Arts of Koryu Ryukyu Karate are now systemized into a comprehensive curriculum, so that the a Martial artist can easily incorporate these skills into their Art.  The Bugaku Renmei® teachings are based on sound principles and concepts.

What are the Sub Arts?

Kaicho Morales refers to the different components that makes Classical Karate, as the "Sub Arts".  For example Classical Karate has Striking art, Joint locking art, Pressure points art, Martial science etc. that make Classical Karate.

What is Tuidi-jutsu?

The indigenous Okinawan Art of life-preservation known as “Ti” (hand) was infused with Chinese martial arts as well as other Asian arts and developed into the Art known today as Karate.

The Art of “Ti” consisted of body change techniques, joint locking, vital points attack, and throws etc.  The techniques were eventually concealed into Karate Kata and the joint locking aspect became a hidden aspect of Karate known as Tuidi-jutsu.

All bodies can be weakened-they all have energy pathway, nerves, joints, tendons and muscles that will respond in certain way to a certain type of pressure.  The grappling art of karate exploits these weaknesses, so that with an appropriate application of Tuidi-jutsu, a big, strong person may be controlled by a smaller, weaker one.  Devastating strikes to vital areas that precede the locking techniques are integral to Tuidi-jutsu.

Tuidi-jutsu involves knowledge of many diverse disciplines, such as human anatomy, pressure points, grappling techniques, throwing techniques, mental development, and immobilization techniques etc.

In Tuidi-jutsu one is able to control an adversary by placing him in so much pain that he loses his will to attack.

The Bugaku Renmei has systemized Tuidi-jutsu into a catalog of techniques and concepts.

What is Kyusho-jutsu?

Kyusho-jutsu (vital points/pressure points) was and is considered a secret among the ancient Asian masters. This is the most superior form of striking in Koryu Karate. When properly applied against selected points on a meridian, it will disable the attacker beyond their ability to renew his attack. Here, body alignment and precision, not strength is the key.

The Bugaku Renmei teaches a complete system of pressure points based on traditional Chinese medicine and The Bubishi.

Bugaku Renmei History
The Bugaku Renmei was founded by Kaicho  Morales in 2003.

As a child Kaicho Luis Morales was fascinated with the Martial Arts, spending many hours reading the various Martial Arts publications such as Black Belt Magazine and Karate Illustrated.

His first real exposure to the Martial Arts came when he was only 8 years old.  A family friend introduced him to a Ju-jutsu style called Miyama-Ryu.

Not knowing that this was the path that The Most High has chosen for him, at the age of 12 he began his formal training in Bu-jutsu.

Kaicho Morales has dedicated his life to the study of Koryu Okinawan Karate, and due to his relentless pursuit has a profound knowledge of its Sub Arts

He is highly regarded for his advanced abilities in the ways of Martial Science, Tuidi-jutsu (Grab Hand Art) and Kyusho-jutsu (Vital/Pressure points Point Art) that are Sub Arts of Karate.

Kaicho Luis Morales is a professional Karate teacher, who has trained with the world's leading Karate masters.

Kaicho Morales quest for knowledge kept him searching for teachers.  In 1999 he met the head master of International Kenshi-kai Organization Hanshi Tetsuhiro Hokama 10th Dan in Okinawan Goju-Ryu and Kobu-jutsu.

Kaicho Morales feels very fortunate to be under the tutelage of Grandmaster Hokama. He is truly a master of “The Old Ways”.

Kaicho Morales is indebted to three Grandmasters who change the way he viewed and practise Okinawan Karate, these Grandmasters are Hanshi Tetsuhiro Hokama, Hanshi Tom Muncy and Hanshi Rick Moneymaker.

Kaicho Morales has done seminars alongside many Martial Arts great such as Soke Lil John Davis of Kumite-ryu jujutsu, Professor James Muro of Hawaiian Kenpo and Danzan-ryu jujutsu, Grandmaster Bill McCloud of Urban contemporary jujutsu, and Senor Master Rudy Tuiolosega of Limalama.

Kyoshi,

Your seminar in Hackensack NJ was great, very interesting and painful, but a lot of fun. Thank you for your willingness to share your knowledge and experience in the "old ways" of karate
